Help! I have da Vinci resolved 20.3.2 I believe… The brand new one … the challenge im having is when I make a compound clip of two separate audio files to eventually sync to Video using elastic wave… It does the job but then when I turn off the computer after I save it, what comes up is only the wave files when reopened again not any sound??? on those specific compound clips what am I doing wrong here? I’ve checked everything all the sound is good. It works perfectly after I do the compound clip but then when I turn off the computer and I turn it back on all I see. Is the wave files but no sound on those compound clip specifically and I have to redo the whole thing again … By deleting the old clips in the media file area… Re-importing the wave files again and redoing the whole enchilada again. What am I doing wrong here?? I am pulling my hair out on this please someone offer guidance very frustrating. Grazie!!!
I’m not sure why that’s happening after saving and reopening the project.
After you have everything how you like it I would bounce the audio. The bounce option is in the right click menu. It will render the audio with all of the added effects into a new audio file then place the new audio file on the timeline. You can always right click revert the bounce file and go back to the old file.

At this point, I have tried every possible angle to figure this out, and I cannot and I need to get this project finished at this point. I will pay someone to get on the phone with me to walk me through this… If someone could please call me @ 772-677-4751 IF YOU KNOW DAVINCI RESOLVE AS AN EXPERT I’m trying to take two wave files from a zoom H4 essential digital recorder and match these two wave files into one continuity .. so they’re a joint clip whether it’s compound clip or a joint clip at this point whatever works… I figured out how to do the joint clips or the compound clips no problem and the compound clips are working perfectly while I have the computer off. I save everything as I should turn off the computer. Take a break. Come back to the computer turn it on and all of a sudden mysteriously there’s no sound on the compound clips… ??? I checked all the sounds Video in and out on preferences on my MacBook Pro.MOV file is working perfectly. Yeah, it’s completely dumbfounding to me all the work that I put into the project and then mysteriously no sound?? with the compound clips. I double double checked that everything is saved. Everything is perfect. This is true also for joint clips that I have tried with and also I’ve tried exporting and importing it as a wave file and it always loses the sound, but I can see the digital waves!! I hope all that makes sense. It’s beyond frustrating so I would pay someone to get on the phone with me to help me with this problem that’s how frustrated I am. I put well over 25 hours into this project and I keep losing the sound on the compound clips with the digital waves?? I’m flabbergasted! 
I’ve tried again the exporting and then importing the files converting them to wave files.. Everything works perfectly… but then when I shut down the computer and then reopen the computer all hell breaks loose … no sound can be heard only the .mov video file plays… but I can still see the digital waves on the compound file… so yes, I’ll pay someone to help me with this project 772-677-4751 kristo
